What’s the difference between “image size” and “sheet size”?

  • Image size = the printed size of your image.
  • Sheet size = the trimmed out size of the piece of paper your image is printed on.

Below is an example of an 8×10″ print order. The image size is 8″ x 10″, with 1″ of white border added per side added in step 3, “Paper and Borders” in the Upload and Order tool. The finished sheet size is 10″ x 12″.

Borders are always added around the image size – the image is never inset into the sheet size. If you need custom, irregular, or something other than our standard options, see our article on building borders into your prints.
