How and when we collect information
We collect “personal” information from you when you provide it to us. For example, if you purchase a product from us, we may collect your name, mailing address, telephone number, credit card number and email address. If you sign up to receive a newsletter, we will collect your email address. If you take advantage of special services offered by us, we may collect other personal information about you.
What we do with your information
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Under no circumstances do we rent, trade or share your e-mail address with any other company for their marketing purposes without your consent. We use your personal information for internal purposes such as processing and keeping you informed of your order. To improve our ability to serve you relevant ads across the Internet for products that will be more interesting to you, we may provide your personal information to our advertising agents that use your information solely for our advertising purposes. You may, from time to time, receive information from us about new features, new services and special offers we think you’ll find valuable.
The personal information that you give us when you place an order is used to process and fulfill your order. We also use your personal information for our own internal purposes, such as providing customer support or providing, maintaining, evaluating and improving our products and services.
We partner with one or more credit card processing companies to assist us in processing your payment. However, those companies do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
We reserve the right to refuse to work on projects that include:
- Materials that are unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene or which invade another person’s privacy or further the commission or concealment of a crime;
- Materials that stand for or serve what we interpret as hate and violence.
File Preparation for direct to print (“DTP”) orders:
Files uploaded through our website for printing must be prepared according to the File Preparation Guidelines on Candela’s website for Canon or Piezography Prints. Files must be print-ready. If there is an issue with a print’s appearance from client’s file preparation, client will need to readjust their files and make another print at their cost. This includes, but is not limited to: exposure, contrast, brightness, color balance, focus, sharpening, dust/sensor spots, and cropping.
Imaging and Proofing:
Candela Fine Art Printing is not responsible for final prints made without proof prints (also called test prints). Proofing is a critical part of the printing process. We encourage ordering test prints before producing more expensive final prints. If you’re certain that your images will print correctly on our system, you are not required to make test prints. However, you are required to accept our terms and conditions.
A Note about Reprint Orders, Print on Demand and Editions:
Candela Fine Art Printing is not responsible for producing matching prints other than when the entire edition is printed immediately after the approved proof. There are too many factors outside of our control to allow otherwise. While we employ best practices, we cannot overcome changes in technology and variations in paper or ink batches. We recommend that you have the entire edition printed at one time to ensure that the work does not need to be reproofed again due to changes in paper, inks, as well as the actual printer being used. Any re-proofing costs for future reprints are the responsibility of the client at our current rates for digital imaging time and printing.
Click “Upload and Order Prints” to upload your jpegs or tiffs (up to 100mb) for printing. Our upload to print tool will also calculate custom sizes, quantity discounts, as well as preview frame options!
